This year marks the 10th Anniversary of Spring Into Your Park, so to celebrate they’re soliciting your help to clean local parks!
Spring Into Your Park, coordinated by Philadelphia Green, is a day totally devoted to cleaning 68 neighborhood parks and on Saturday, April 18; you can be a soldier in the war against trash!
The day begins at 10 a.m. at Gorgas Park in Roxborough with the unveiling of newest edition of The PHS City Parks Handbook by the new commissioner of Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation, Michael DiBerardinis.
So what, exactly, does this clean up entail? Bagging trash, planting annuals, perennials and trees. There will also be flea markets and festivals for your enjoyment! After all, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure!
