Sounds of the '60s Get You Groovin'

Wildwood is celebrating the 4th annual ‘60’s Weekend April 24th to 26th.

The celebration is hosted by the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce to honor Wildwood’s role in ‘60s music- - and there will be plenty of music to get folks moving.

The event kicks off with a dance party hosted by “The Geater with the Heater” Jerry Blavat at the Wildwood Convention Center from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets cost $12.

Saturday is jam packed with events beginning with a street fair at 10 a.m. Live bands will be playing at Fox Park- -across from the Convention Center. There will be lots of free entertainment that includes displays of old classic cars, contests and dancing.

A ’60s concert will be held at the Convention Center Saturday night that will feature popular bands from that decade. The talent includes Herman’s Hermits, Peter Noone, Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals and The Turtles featuring Flo and Eddie. Tickets cost $45 plus tax.

Events will also be held on Sunday including free live entertainment and contests from noon to 3 p.m.
