Save the Date: Missing in Action

A flyer stapled onto a near by telephone pole, in big bold letter reads “MISSING”, an obvious plea for help. It goes on to ask, “Have you seen this person?”, giving a brief description, along with clues of when he/she was last seen.

A witness claims it was about two weeks ago when they left a parking lot after having dinner together. The witness goes on to say that they both had a great night and there was absolutely amazing chemistry. The two promised they would text each other when they both made it home. Unfortunately, that text never came.

This cry for help even posts a hefty reward: “CLOSURE”.

Can you figure out this unsolved mystery? What's the answer? How can Mr. or Mrs. Right make a LEFT out of sight?

Matt:

When it comes to rejection sometimes we think worst case scenario. But in this case, I think you can call off the search. This is more of a recovery, YOUR PRIDE.

You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure this one out. It wasn't Colonel Mustard with the candlestick in the library. But more often than not, it is the culprit who most likely is the usual suspect. Perhaps it was the “Ex” or just somebody completely new that has snatched this love interest from you. The truth is, they probably went at their own free will.

Sometimes no news is...bad news. Maybe they thought you wouldn’t be clueless and just take the hint. The positive is that you found out early, before it became a cold case.

Steph:

So we all may have pulled a little Houdini act in our day, but don’t take it to the extreme by notifying detectives to crack the case.

Rejection is a tough pill to swallow. Nobody said falling for someone is easy, especially if he/she doesn’t reciprocate the feelings. However, pulling a disappearing act is not the answer. Just be up front and let that person know you aren’t interested. FYI -- If you’re blowin up someone’s phone and they’re not answering or returning any of your messages, it most likely means one of two things:

1: They’ve simply lost interest completely or
2: They’ve mastered the art of juggling you and however many other prospects.

Don’t stress yourself out by trying to solve the case like Columbo. Pay attention to the signs and be willing to just let things flow.
