Tickets for many of the Philly Beer Week 2009 events are already selling out so it’s time to jump at the chance to be part of the kick-off celebration on Friday. There’s still time to reserve your spot for the ceremonial tapping of the first keg in the lobby of the Comcast center.
Get there early to get up front so you can feel the spray of fresh suds on your face. Then stick around to sample up to a dozen local brews and watch local brewing heroes accept awards in a unique ceremony.
Special brews included in the opening event include Weyerbacher’s Merry Monks and Hops Infusion, Yards Grodziski Smoked Wheat and ESA, Sly Fox’s Dunkel Lager and Odyssey, Nodding Head’s Spring Ale and Flying Fish’s Exit 4 American Trippel. Tickets are $40 and are available on the website.
