This Wednesday, let the little green plus sign show you the way to the most unusual happy hour of the holiday season.
Apothecary Bar and Lounge (102 S. 13th St.) will welcome the holidays December 17 by mixing up creative cocktails with Hendrick’s Gin for its "Unusual Classics" event.
In addition to the Hendrick's cocktails, there will be appetizers, drink specials and one “cup of cheer” for each attendee will be on the house.
We’re told revelers who come in their holiday best and bring canned or boxed food items to donate to the Hunger Coalition will be handsomely rewarded. At a lounge that regularly serves up drinks with aloe, cayenne and gingko in them, we’re not sure just what that means.
The evening kicks off at 6 p.m., and caroling is encouraged—even if it takes more than a few Booty Collins cocktails to work up the nerve to sing.
