Feast on Free Hot Dogs From the Flyers

If you see a giant hot dog, ketchup and mustard walking down Broad Street Wednesday handing out hot dogs to passers by, don’t worry—you didn’t take too much cold medicine.

No, it’s actually some of the Philadelphia Flyers’ staff and members of the Delta Dental Ice Team. They’ll be outside City Hall (Broad and Market streets) Wednesday at noon, giving away free hot dogs to hungry hockey fans.

The promotion is in honor of Dollar Dog Night at the Wachovia Center, which will take place Thursday, Dec. 11, when the Flyers take on the Carolina Hurricanes. At the game, the flyers will attempt to sell more than 20,000 hot dogs—a Wachovia Center record.

Tickets to Dollar Dog Night’s game are still available. More information is available on the Philadelphia Flyers' Web site.
