Beautify Your Bare Walls Without Breaking the Bank

A two-day art sale for the budget-conscious

Who says art is only for people with big bucks? Not the folks who run Art for the Cash Poor. Art and design network InLiquid's annual art sale, now in its tenth year, unites starving artists with starving customers. Most of the works from the dozens of local artists are priced at $199 or less, with many priced under $100.

The festival takes place this Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day at the Crane Arts building in Kensington. The term art is used loosely here--it's not just paintings or sculpture, but jewelry, photography, works on paper, handbags, small furnishings, clothing and more--check the web site for a full list of vendors and to preview samples of their work.

In addition to the artists, DJ Royal T and DJ Deejay will be spinning, plus there's live music from a roster of bands and food for sale from local restaurants like Las Cazuelas and Rustica.
