Workers at The Victor Café in South Philly lost two sources of income during COVID-19 shutdown. Other century-old institutions of the Italian restaurant scene also feel the heat. Even during these difficult times, the waitstaff at The Victor came together virtually to sing “Va, Pensiero,” an Italian song about hope.
