No-Oodles Recipe: Vegetable Bun Thit

Vegetable Bun Thit and Mixed Fish Sauce Recipe

Layer in a Bowl:

  • Shredded lettuce, noodles, and these toppings or others of your choice:
  • Carrot, shredded
  • Seedless cucumber, julienne sliced
  • Red Pepper, seeded and sliced
  • Sugar snap peas, cut in half
  • Mung bean sprouts
  • Fresh basil leaves, chiffionade
  • Cilantro, lightly chopped

Drizzle with fish sauce (recipe below) and enjoy!

Garnish with fresh lime, quartered for a fresh squeeze.

Mixed Fish Sauce (Nuoc Mam Pha) Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 Tsp. Rice vinegar
  • 2 Tsp. Sugar
  • 1 Red chili, seeded and finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 1 Tsp. Lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp. Fish sauce

Mix ingredients together in a jar and serve as a dipping sauce. If making in larger amounts, you should bring the water, vinegar and sugar to a boil and then allow to cool before adding fish sauce, chili, garlic and lime juice.
