Vegetable Bun Thit and Mixed Fish Sauce Recipe
Layer in a Bowl:
- Shredded lettuce, noodles, and these toppings or others of your choice:
- Carrot, shredded
- Seedless cucumber, julienne sliced
- Red Pepper, seeded and sliced
- Sugar snap peas, cut in half
- Mung bean sprouts
- Fresh basil leaves, chiffionade
- Cilantro, lightly chopped
Drizzle with fish sauce (recipe below) and enjoy!
Garnish with fresh lime, quartered for a fresh squeeze.
Mixed Fish Sauce (Nuoc Mam Pha) Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1 Tsp. Rice vinegar
- 2 Tsp. Sugar
- 1 Red chili, seeded and finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, peeled and crushed
- 1 Tsp. Lime juice
- 1 Tbsp. Fish sauce
Mix ingredients together in a jar and serve as a dipping sauce. If making in larger amounts, you should bring the water, vinegar and sugar to a boil and then allow to cool before adding fish sauce, chili, garlic and lime juice.
