NBC10's Get a Job Seminar: Social Networking

Thanks to everyone who attended our fifth "NBC10 Get a Job" event here at our NBC10 studios. 

More than a hundred people came to take advantage of the expert advice and networking opportunity.

We've been holding "NBC10 Get a Job" events every month -- Free -- to help people find work.

Last night's focus was using social  media to find and get a job. Many people have accounts with Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter but they may not know how to maximize them in their job search. 

Kristin Kane from Kane Partners gave last night's presentation. 

After every presentation we have job consultants and recruiters who volunteer their time to meet one-on-one with attendees to review their resumes.

We continue to hear from people who have gotten a job following advice and help they got at one of our events. 

Attendees at this event told us they had no idea how much they needed to use social media and how much employers were using social media to post jobs. 

Our next NBC10 Get a Job event is set for May 25th.
