You can double your money, starting May 3, in Ardmore with the city's "Downtown Dollars."
Shoppers can buy up to $200 worth of Downtown Dollars (for only $100) and use them as real money in any of the local shops participating in the project.
“The Downtown Dollars program is The Ardmore Initiative's answer to the poor retail shopping climate,” said Christine Vilardo, the Executive Director of the Ardmore Initiative.
"We were frustrated by the lack of stimulus funding available to benefit the small, locally owned businesses, so we created our own!"
You have to go over to the Ardmore Initiative Office at 56 East Lancaster Avenue to buy your downtown dollars. The office is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p. m. Monday through Friday.
You can also buy your dollars at the Ardmore Initiative office on Friday, May 7th during the First Friday Main Line event and at the Ardmore Initiative table at The Clover Market on Sunday, May 9th.
