Ted Greenberg is a reporter for NBC10’s Jersey Shore Bureau, covering Atlantic, Cape May, Ocean and Cumberland counties. You can watch Ted’s live reports from the shore weeknights during the 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts.
Ted loves that his role as a Jersey Shore reporter takes him all over South Jersey to many diverse areas, and he “feel[s] fortunate to cover a wide variety of stories in a unique section of the region that includes beaches, urban cities, suburban communities, and farms.” Throughout his many years covering the Jersey Shore, one of the most memorable events in Ted’s career has been Hurricane Sandy. Nearly four years later, Ted is still advocating for the thousands of New Jersey residents who are still impacted by this tragic storm.
Ted first joined NBC10 as an intern in the summer of 1991 and later re-joined the NBC10 family full-time in 2003 as a reporter. Prior to returning to NBC10, Ted worked full-time at WMGM in Atlantic City while pursuing a criminal justice degree at New Jersey’s Richard Stockton College (now Stockton University). During his six years at WMGM covering the South Jersey area, Ted acquired the background knowledge and expertise which allows him to be an extremely knowledgeable Jersey Shore Reporter for NBC10.
After six years at WMGM, Ted went on to report and anchor for WROC in Rochester, New York, and WTIC in Hartford/New Haven, Connecticut. During his time at WTIC, Ted’s outstanding performance as a journalist was recognized with two Boston/New England Emmy awards for news writing, and an Associated Press award for excellence in broadcast journalism. Ted returned to WMGM for a short time in 2002 as News Director and 6 p.m. co-Anchor before his homecoming to NBC10 a year later.
When not reporting, Ted enjoys spending time with his family, especially on the beach and boardwalk. He is also a champion of breast cancer awareness, having lost his mother to the disease. Ted lives in Atlantic County with his wife, two daughters and their cat, Fred.
