Man Who Stole Rare Revolutionary War-Era Rifle Gets 1 Day in Prison, Fines

The thief who stole a Revolutionary War era rifle in 1971 has admitted his wrongdoing. Thomas Gavin, from Pottstown, had stolen the weapon from the Valley Forge State Park Museum and kept it on display in his barn for nearly half a century. Gavin now faces a day in prison and fines.
