Nation's First Pizza Museum Opens in Philly

NBC10 was in Fishtown on Friday night as Pizza Brain opened its doors to the public.

Philadelphia has pizza on the brain this weekend. That's because the City of Brotherly Love is now home to the nation's first pizza museum.

It's called Pizza Brain and it's located on the 2300 block of Frankford Avenue in the Fishtown section of the city.

On its Facebook page, Pizza Brain invited pie lovers everywhere to what they called "the pizza party of the century" on Friday night as the shop opened its doors for the first time.

Besides serving up slices of pizza, Pizza Brain boasts the largest collection of pizza-related memorabilia, according to Guinness World Records.

On the Pizza Brain website, the shop is described as "a pizza shop with a conscience – meaning we strive to do things in a socially, ethically and environmentally responsible fashion."
