A video posted to Instagram -- and then removed -- Tuesday suggested a nasty scene at Leo Burnett's downtown Chicago offices.
Some said feces rained down from the ceiling onto the 15th-floor offices and began pooling after a pipe burst. Indeed the video, which later resurfaced on YouTube, shows a dark-colored substance flowing onto a cubicle.
Leo Burnett denied the situation was what one art director called a "poo eruption," tweeting this at RedEye, which was among the first to report on the sludge:
@redeyechicago While we appreciate the creativity here, and it's indeed unpleasant, rest assured that it's only dust and water. — Leo Burnett Chicago (@LeoBurnettChi) January 7, 2014
No matter what happened, it's a rough sight for workers who trudged through below-zero temperatures and dangerous wind chills to get to work.
