Hotel Sets Standard for Manhattan Peep Show

"I've seen a few porn shoots," says a bar manager

It's the best peep show in Manhattan. And it's free.

Tourists strolling down the newly renovated High Line, or those tooling around the trendy Meatpacking District can simply look up and catch an eyeful thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows at swanky hotel The Standard, the New York Post reported.

"I've seen a few porn shoots -- three dudes walking around a hotel room with cameras and lights filming a couple," Joe, the manager of the nearby Brass Monkey bar told the Post. "I've seen at least 10 different people having sex. Saturday nights are the best time for the show."

A woman who works at an W. 13th St. boutique said she's seen hotel guests strip down and get busy.

"We saw a naked girl jumping up and down on a trampoline right in front of the window," Shannon Brickner told the Post. "From the street, I saw a man and a woman. Everyone was looking up at them.

"They were facing outwards, and I could see their backsides pressed up against the window. I thought it was a photo shoot or porn."

On the hotel's Facebook page, The Standard encourages patrons to let it all hang out, according to the paper.

"We encourage you to exercise your inner exhibitionist. Please share your intimate and explicit photos with us -- those floor to ceiling windows aren't just for the views," read the post, which has since been changed, according to the Post.

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn told The Post she wants the peep show to come to an end.

"The alleged actions of The Standard are unacceptable," she said in a statement.

The hotel did not return calls for comment, according to the paper.
