Dog Bites Would-Be Burglar in the Groin

Man bit during a home invasion, police say

A dog chomped down on a would-be burglar during a home invasion in Bucks County.

Two men, both with covered faces, knocked on the door of a home on Stafford Place in Lower Makefield Township around 8:20 p.m. Tuesday and burst in after a woman opened the door, township police told the Bucks County Courier Times.

Once inside, the men -- one with a knife -- confronted a sleeping man and asked him where the safe is located.

The man didn’t tell the would-be burglars where to look. The alleged burglars then chased the woman out of the home and tried grabbing her before fleeing, police Capt. Tom Roche told the Courier Times.

The whole time the men were chasing the woman, one of them was bleeding from his groin-area, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
