A thief allegedly robbed an unlikely target in Northeast Philly Monday afternoon.
Around 12:40 p.m. a man claiming he had a gun held up the Police and Fire Federal Credit Union branch at 7500 Castor Avenue, according to Philadelphia Police.
The man allegedly approached the teller and presented a note that he had a gun and wanted a bag of cash, said FBI officials.
The teller handed over a bag with $2,500, said police.
The suspect fled on foot running westbound on Shelmire Avenue behind the credit union, said the FBI.
No one was injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a medium-built white male in his 20s, 5-foot-10 with a blonde goatee and blue eyes. He was wearing a black hat, black sweatshirt, dark pants and cream gloves with red fingers, according to the FBI.

He is considered armed and dangerous, said the FBI.
