2nd Inmate Escapes Corrections Center This Week

Pennsylvania State Police say another inmate has escaped from a correctional facility where another inmate had fled Sunday.

The Reading Eagle reports that police say William Davis, 25, escaped through a fire door at the Wernersville Community Corrections Center in South Heidelberg Township around 8:50 p.m. Monday.

Police say a warrant is out for the Allentown man's arrest.

On Sunday, police reported that another inmate fled the facility on foot while he was being escorted by a staff member. Police say he jumped over a railing on a flight of stairs, ran through a courtyard and climbed a fence to escape.

Police say that inmate, 28-year-old Ramon Antonio Beachy, turned himself in at the Lancaster County Prison the next day.

Anyone with information on Davis' whereabouts is asked to call Pa. State Police, reading Barracks, at 610-378-4011 or submit an anonymous tip to 877-373-9913.
