An alleged cop impersonator might have tried to get more from a girl he pulled over than just her ID.
A 17-year-old girl was driving down Stokes Road in Medford Township, N.J. when what appeared to be an officer tried to pull her over before 5 p.m. Thursday night, township police said.
It wasn't a marked police car but the black or forest green sedan had flashing blue lights and an audible siren just like the real men in blue do.
But this guy didn't appear to be one of Medford's finest especially after he asked the girl out.
He allegedly asked for the teen's ID and then told the girl he was not a cop and instead asked for her phone number. The girl took her wallet back and drove away without taking the man up on his proposal, police said.
The impersonator is described as a white male in his 30s, about 6-foot with a thin build and short brown or dirty blonde hair. He was wearing a navy blue T-shirt and navy pants with a yellow stripe down each leg.
