Beer Pong and Guns Don't Mix

A game of Beer Pong turned deadly Friday night when one man shot and killed another on a dare, according to officials.

Joseph Brian Jimenez, 24, and Scott Riley, 25, were at a house in Bridgeport, Montgomery County, Pa. playing the popular drinking game.

Apparently the Beer Pong game got heated, because the two men were heard arguing about “ a game they were playing” outside of the house in an alley, according to a witness.

Riley allegedly dared Jimenez to “shoot me, shoot me, you guys ain’t got the…,” according to a police report.  That’s when Jimenez took a Taurus .40 caliber handgun out of his waistband and shot Riley once in the neck, officials said.

Jimenez was arrested near the scene and police said they found a silver Taurus .40 caliber gun in a trashcan behind a nearby home.

Friends of both men say they've heard two different stories about the shooting. "It was an accident...that's all I heard," said witness Noel O'Donnell. The alleged shooter's mother also told police it was an accident. Officials are continuing to investigate the claims.

Jimenez was charged with First Degree Murder, Third Degree Murder and related charges.
