Put your tech to work to help you save at the pump

With gas prices soaring through the roof, many of us are searching for ways to save. Enter that technology you use everyday.

Here are a few apps and websites that can help you save the next time you fill up and maybe even change the way you drive.

GAS PRICE FINDERS

Cheap Gas!
If you want to know the best places to find cheap gas with a little pizzazz, this is your app. It calls on GasBuddy's database and your phone's camera to show you the direction where the cheapest gas lies. COST: Free

IMPROVING YOUR DRIVING EFFICIENCY

GasHog
Think you'd drive differently if you knew just how much your paying per mile? This app hopes you will. It tracks your mileage, how much you paid per gallon and more to deliver the sobering statistics. COST: $0.99

greenMeter
This app uses your phone's accelerometer to track your movements in the car. It then culls all of that data together to show you how your driving affects your wallet. It's pretty and very cool, but sorta expensive. COST: $4.99

WORTH THE TRIP?
