Excuse me, Wawa. You did what?
Apparently, our favorite corner sandwich shop/convenience store/gas station - you know, the one we defend to all of our out-of-town relatives, the one we swear by, the one to which we've pledged our undying allegiance - is cheating on us. With the freakin' Baltimore Ravens.
In an apparent attempt to dethrone Royal Farms in the Maryland area, Benedict Wawa has become the "official hoagie" of the Baltimore Ravens.
It's worth pointing out that Wawa has been a longtime Eagles partner, and is in fact the official hoagie of the Eagles.
Still, it hurts a little.

Baltimore will never love you the way we do! They don't even understand you!
Thanks to the Baltimore Sun, here's what Adam Schall, Wawa's director of store operations for Maryland (and traitor), said in a statement:
"Wawa is thrilled to partner with the Ravens to make deeper connections with some of the best fans in football and reach communities all over the city of Baltimore and beyond."
Some of the best fans in football? How dare you, sir.
Anyway, it appears that Wawa is pushing hard in that area, expecting to add five more stores in Maryland next year, according to the Sun, so it makes sense that it would team up with the local football team. It doesn't mean it hurts any less.
