The U.S. Women's National Team is rolling through Philadelphia this week as part of their Victory Tour in celebration of their wild World Cup win and the lovefest between the soccer stars and the City of Brotherly Love has been on full display.
The ladies will play a friendly against Portugal Thursday evening at Lincoln Financial Field in front of a record-setting crowd -- the largest ever to watch the USWNT play in a stand-alone friendly. At least 45,000 fans are expected.
All of the Philly tie-ins on the team are certainly contributing to that excitement. Julie Ertz called getting the opportunity to transition from typically watching her husband Zach play from in the stands to getting to play on the field herself a dream come true.
And of course Carli Lloyd has been making waves around town with talk of a potential next career as a kicker in the NFL. She was at the Phillies game the other night where she delivered a clinical first pitch. The whole team got to enjoy some custom jerseys from the Phillies as well. Megan Rapinoe rocks it hard.
Here are some photos and videos of their fun week in Philly.
