The Phils Are Out for Blood Saturday

The Phillies and the American Red Cross are joining forces on Saturday, August 15 and they want your blood. So give them what they want at the 5th Annual Phillies Blood Drive.

The blood drive begins at 6 a.m. at Citizens Bank Park.

But what do you get for waking up extra early on a Saturday and giving of yourself (besides the satisfaction of knowing that you’ve helped those in need)? The opportunity to have your picture taken – with an authentic 2009 World Series Championship ring.

Donors will also get an exclusive, behind the scenes tour of the ballpark, special discounts on an upcoming Phillies game and the chance to mingle with everyone’s favorite mascot, the Phillie Phanatic, and the Phillies ballgirls.

You must be at least 110-pounds and 17 years old to give blood. Donors are encouraged to pre-register.

The event goes until 2 p.m. in Lot S off of Phillies Drive.
