Sixers Release Former Temple Owl

Antywane Robinson was trying to earn a roster spot

Former Temple Owl Antywane Robinson was waived by the Sixers on Monday.

Robinson left Temple in 2006 after his senior season in which he earned Atlantic-10 All-Conference Second Team honors.

The release wasn't a big surprise considering that Robinson was only used sparingly in three preseason games for the Sixers.

He tried catching on with the Atlanta Hawks before the 2007 season but was cut during the preseason. Since then Robinson had played for Sioux Falls Skyforce of the D-League before playing overseas in the French League.

The move leaves the 76ers with a 15 man roster.
