Watch the Trailer for Showtime's Ben Simmons Documentary ‘One & Done'

You never know what to expect from a documentary about a basketball player who has never played a single game in the NBA, but Ben Simmons journey from Australia to the NBA wasn't exactly typical.

His whole life was seemingly focused on reaching the NBA.

There's a scene that is particularly interesting in the trailer that focuses on the hypocrisy of the NCAA and its treatment of student athletes.

"The NCAA is messed up," Simmons said. "Go buy a No. 25 jersey, go put me on ESPN, go make millions of dollars off one person. I don't have a voice."

The pursuit of Simmons as a brand asset coming out of college is also teased.

Here's how Showtime describes the documentary:

Examine basketball prodigy Ben Simmons’ journey from his native Australia, to his one and only year at LSU, to the top pick in the 2016 NBA draft. The SHOWTIME SPORTS documentary, offering exclusive and intimate access to the 20-year-old phenom on his rise toward stardom, premieres Friday, November 4 at 9 PM ET/PT on SHOWTIME.
