DeMarcus Cousins After Sixers-Kings Game Postponed: ‘I Might Have to Go Hit Up Geno’s’

[CSNPhily] DeMarcus Cousins after Sixers-Kings game postponed: 'I might have to go hit up Geno's'

Kings center DeMarcus Cousins really wanted to play Wednesday night's game against Joel Embiid and the Sixers, which was ultimately postponed because of moisture on the court.

The All-Star center even went as far as assisting Wells Fargo Center employees with the dry mopping of the court before the game was officially called off.

And Cousins wasn't kidding around, showing his dedication by hitting the hardwood with a mop in each hand.

"I was serious," Cousins said of helping out with the mopping. "I was trying to play.

"Guys go through their ritual. Guys prepare for the games and, like that, they tell us we're not playing. It's kind of disappointing.

"I've never seen a floor with conditions like that before."

With the game's postponement, the Kings were stranded in Philadelphia for the time being before heading out to Boston for the next leg of their road trip.

And without a game to be played, Boogie didn't want to leave Philadelphia with nothing to show for.

"I don't know," Cousins said of his and the team's plans for the night. "I might have to go hit up Geno’s."
