From World Series to White House

The untimely death of Philadelphia legend Harry Kalas forced the Phillies to cancel their Tuesday, April 14 visit to the White House. But, it's finally here, Friday's the day the World Series Champs will meet President Barrack Obama.

Very exciting!

They're heading to Washington to take on the Nationals in a three-day, four-game series that begins tonight at 7:05 p.m., but first, they'll visit the White House to visit with the Prez and present him with a secret gift they picked out especially for him!

"It should be very exciting," first baseman Ryan Howard told PhillyBurbs.com.

From Broad Street to Pennsylvania Avenue, the Phils are livin' large.

Follow all the action from the White House with NBC 10's Tim Furlong who is updating his Twitter feed throughout the day.
