Who Did Andrew McCutchen Call When He Felt Anxious About Surgery? Carson Wentz, of Course

There's been a welcome sight in the Phillies' dugout recently: Andrew McCutchen.

The outfielder tore his ACL back on June 3 in San Diego. The team hasn't quite been the same since losing their leadoff man. Since McCutchen's injury, their record is just 23-24 and Phillies' leadoff hitters have slashed just .194/.272/.320 entering Friday night's game.

During the broadcast, our own Gregg Murphy had a great story to share about McCutchen feeling apprehensive about his surgery and the Philadelphian that helped ease his mind.

He wanted to talk to someone about it and here in Philadelphia, if you're going to talk to someone about an ACL injury that's been repaired, why not call the quarterback of the Eagles, Carson Wentz, who recently went through that as well? That's exactly what Andrew McCutchen did.
