Watch: Brock Stassi Holds Back Tears After Learning He Made the Phillies Opening Day Roster

Brock Stassi made the Philadelphia Phillies opening day roster. It's a heck of an achievement for a guy drafted in the 33rd round of the 2011 MLB draft who struggled through the minors for much of his career.

Stassi was quite emotional in the Phillies clubhouse down in Florida after learning of the club's decision as you can watch above. Making the MLB team was a huge accomplishment and that wasn't lost on him.

"I'm just so thankful," he said.

"I always believed in myself even though Williamsport didn't go well. I always had confidence and I'd work hard."

"It was always my end goal and I never doubted myself ever."

It also wasn't lost on his brother, Max Stassi, who is a catcher in the Houston Astros organization. Max posted a list of reasons why this was such an accomplishment for his brother who never gave up on his dream.
