Tonight's Lineup: Tommy Joseph Starting Against Jose Fernandez

One night after being one-hit by Jacob deGrom and the New York Mets, the Phillies' bats, hitting a major-league low .222 at home, face an equally as challenging test Monday night.

With the Marlins trotting out flamethrower Jose Fernandez in the opener of a four-game set, manager Pete Mackanin has tinkered with his lineup from Sunday's finale with New York.

Tommy Joseph, 24, returns to the lineup after having Saturday and Sunday off and will hit fifth. After a rough patch in June, the first baseman is enjoying a hot month of July.

Joseph is hitting .467 in 27 at-bats this month with three home runs and six RBIs. This will be his first time facing Fernandez in his young major league career.

Cameron Rupp moves into the cleanup spot, while Maikel Franco hits third and Cody Asche drops from third to sixth.

For the Phillies, Aaron Nola gets the start after a 16-day break. Nola had struggled in his last five starts before the team decided to skip his start and give him extra rest.

Nola, 23, brings a 4.69 ERA into Monday's matchup, up from a 2.65 ERA on June 11.
