Tonight's Lineup: Tommy Joseph Returns, Rhys Hoskins Back to LF

As the Phillies open a seven-game road trip on the West Coast, Tommy Joseph returns to the lineup Monday, pushing Rhys Hoskins back to the outfield.

Joseph came off the bench in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Mets, but is back at first base and hitting fifth for the Phillies, who play the Padres in San Diego at Petco Park.

Staying in the cleanup spot, Hoskins shifts to left field after collecting his first big-league hit on Sunday while starting at his natural position of first base to spell Joseph.

With Joseph's reinserting the lineup, Nick Williams and Maikel Franco both bump down a spot. Also, Cameron Rupp is back behind the plate after a day off.

Jerad Eickhoff takes the ball for the Phillies and opposes Padres lefty Travis Wood. For more on tonight's game, read Corey Seidman's game notes right here (see story).
