Tonight's Lineup: Red-hot Odubel Herrera Bats 3rd; Ryan Howard Out

Red-hot Odubel Herrera bats third for a third straight game Tuesday night when the Phillies open a two-game series against the White Sox.

Herrera has gotten hot over the last week, going 12 for 24 with four doubles, a homer and seven runs in his last six games.

Ryan Howard is out again after having fluid drained from his left knee over the weekend. Howard was supposed to play in these final home games but it appears he's not healthy enough to go. The Phillies have home games against Chicago Tuesday and Wednesday and then don't return to Citizens Bank Park until the final series of the season, Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.

Here's the Phillies' lineup against struggling White Sox right-hander James Shields:

1. Cesar Hernandez, 2B
2. Roman Quinn, LF
3. Odubel Herrera, CF
4. Tommy Joseph, 1B
5. Maikel Franco, 3B
6. Cameron Rupp, C
7. Freddy Galvis, SS
8. Aaron Altherr, RF
9. Jake Thompson, P
