Tonight's Lineup: Odubel Herrera Sits With Left Hamstring Injury

Odubel Herrera's hitting streak will have to be put on hold.

The Phillies' centerfielder has hit safely in 17 straight games, the longest active run in the majors, but he will be out of the lineup Tuesday night against the Padres with a left hamstring injury.

Herrera went 2 for 5 in Monday night's 7-4 loss to San Diego, hitting a single and his NL-leading 36th double. The occurrence and severity of the injury are uncertain.

Over his 17-game hitting streak, Herrera is slashing .379/.431/.636 with three homers, two triples, four doubles and 10 RBIs.

To replace his production tonight, the Phillies will slide Nick Williams to center field and give Hyun Soo Kim a start in right field. Williams will hit third, while Maikel Franco moves up to sixth, followed by Kim and Jorge Alfaro, who starts behind the plate.

In other roster news, the Phillies placed outfielder Daniel Nava (lower back strain) on the 10-day disabled list and recalled outfielder Cameron Perkins from Triple A Lehigh Valley.
