Today's Lineup: Odubel Herrera (hamstring) Out Again, Hoskins Bats 3rd

Odubel Herrera is out of the Phillies' lineup for a second straight game Wednesday (3:40 p.m. on CSNPhilly) as he nurses a left hamstring injury.

Herrera is the hottest hitter in the majors, so his absence is obviously felt by the Phils' below-average offense.

Nick Williams plays center field for the second game in a row, and Rhys Hoskins moves up to the 3-spot in the order after homering three times in his last two games.

Hoskins is in left field, where his misplay cost the Phillies dearly last night (see story).

Tommy Joseph bats cleanup. He's hitting .209 with a .246 on-base percentage in his last 31 games.

Maikel Franco bats sixth. He's hitting .196 with no walks and one home run in 57 plate appearances in August. Combined, Franco and Joseph have two homers in their last 183 trips to the dish.

Franco ranks 70th out of 71 qualified National League players with a .278 OBP. He has 17 home runs, but that doesn't mean as much in 2017 as it would have a few years ago. There are 87 major-leaguers who have more.
