Today's Lineup: Blanco Starts Again, Howard Hoping for More Success Vs. Nolasco

Another day, another start for Andres Blanco.

Blanco has started the past five games over Cesar Hernandez, and deservedly so. Blanco is hitting .318 over the past week with an OPS of .848.

After hitting in each of the top four batting positions over the past week, Blanco settles into the two-hole for the third straight game.

The rest of the lineup is much of the same. The only change comes with Carlos Ruiz catching for Jerad Eickhoff, giving Cameron Rupp the night off. Ruiz will bat seventh, allowing Cody Asche to bat sixth.

Rounding out the bottom of the linuep, Freddy Galvis bats eighth and the suddenly-hot Peter Bourjos hits ninth.

Bourjos is hitting .432 over the past week and .364 in June, raising hit batting average over 30 points in that span.

Former Marlin Ricky Nolasco takes the mound for the Twins. Of the six current Phillies that have faced Nolasco, Ryan Howard has had by far the most success. Hitting .289 vs. Nolasco, Howard four home runs and six doubles against the righty, with nine walks to eight strikeouts.
