McFadden's at Citizens Bank Park to Reportedly Be Replaced by Shake Shack

Rumblings around the South Philly sports complex Wednesday afternoon were that McFadden's at Citizens Bank Park would close following the Oct. 7th Eagles game.

It had been a staple of CBP's food and drink offerings since it opened in 2004. Fans immediately wondered what would fill the large space connected to the ballpark once it pours its final light beer that Sunday.

We may now have an answer about the shake-up.

Famous burger joint Shake Shack will be "partly replacing the McFadden's sports bar" for the 2019 Phillies season at CBP, according to the Inquirer's sources.

McFadden's is obviously a very large space, so it'll be interesting to see how the transformation and handling of existing bars happens.

Shake Shack has been in ballparks around the country for years now, including CitiField up in Flushing, New York, since its opening. There has also been a Shake Shack option inside of the Wells Fargo Center in recent years.
