Phillies Spring Training Tickets on Sale Today

Phillies Spring Training tickets on sale, regular season giveaways announced

Don’t let those Eagles blues get you down anymore, Phillies pitchers and catchers report in just 35 days -- let the hype begin for the two-time National League champs.

Tickets to all the Phillies Spring Training home games went on sale Thursday at 9 a.m. at Phillies.com.

Fans looking for a sneak peek of the 2010 team while taking a vacation to (normally) sunny Clearwater, Fla. can get first dibs on tickets to 15 Grapefruit League (plus a game against Florida State) games.

The Phillies 2010 Bright House Field schedule includes three “revenge” (just kidding its only Spring Training) against the World Champion Yankees and games against other AL foes like the Twins, Tigers and Orioles. The Phils should also get a taste for the regular season with visits by NL rivals Atlanta and Houston.

Tickets to spring training games start for a little as 12 bucks and the team is offering three-game packages great for anyone looking to spend a few days.

But, the Phillies also gave a glimpse into what fans can expect once the Phightins return to Citizens Bank Park in South Philly. Tickets for the regular season don’t go on sale until Feb. 18 but fans can start planning out what games they want now.

The Phillies 2010 promotions schedule was released Wednesday.

The team doesn’t really need massive promos anymore after selling out most of their games last season but that doesn’t mean they aren’t bringing some intriguing freebies to the ballpark.

Bobble heads (per normal) topped the list. The big one should be Roy Halladay bobbler night on May 18 but don’t underestimate the draw of Carlos Ruiz bobbler night on Aug. 24.

The Phils also are bringing back heritage nights including Irish Heritage (April 16), Asian Pacific (May 3), Italian Heritage (July 23), Jewish Heritage (Aug. 12), Latino Family (Sept. 3) and German Heritage (Sept. 18) nights.

Other popular promos include knit hat night (Sept. 17), NL “Champs” t-shirt night (April 14), Phanatic kids T-shirt and birthday celebration (April 18) and the intriguing Shane Victorino Hawaiian "Hang Loose" hand greeting foam finger game (June 6).

If last season was any indication fans should try snagging up tickets ASAP if they don’t want to miss out on any games. The best bet to guarantee a spot is by purchasing season tickets through Phillies.com.
