Snow in April means no Phillies baseball Monday night.
The Phillies-Mets game at Citi Field has been postponed because of the inclement weather hitting the Northeast.
The series opener between the NL East foes is rescheduled for July 9, 4:10 p.m., as part of a single-admission doubleheader.
Ben Lively was scheduled to start against Matt Harvey. It would seem likely that the probable starting pitchers for the series will get pushed back a day, meaning Lively will face Harvey Tuesday (7:10 p.m./NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com/NBC Sports App), with Aaron Nola going Wednesday (1:10 p.m./NBCSP). Against Nola, however, the Mets will skip Seth Lugo's turn in the rotation and counter with Noah Syndergaard, a much bigger challenge for the Phillies.
Gabe Kapler's team then comes home Thursday for its home opener against the Marlins (3:05 p.m./NBCSP), with Vince Velasquez slated to start.

Meanwhile, the postponement turns out to be somewhat of a positive for the Phillies, who taxed their bullpen in Atlanta during the season-opening three-game series. Now, with Sunday's scheduled day off and Monday's postponement, the Phillies' relievers receive two days of rest before returning to action.
