Phillies Game Postponed Due to Issues from Recent Rain

Monday night's Philadelphia Phillies game against the Washington Nationals was postponed due to infield issues from the recent rain.

While it stopped raining at Citizens Bank Park around noon Monday, the tarp was not down on the infield at Citizens Bank Park at all times over the weekend.

The Phillies pulled out all the stops to try to prepare the infield, going as far as using a flamethrower-type device to heat and dry the dirt near the first base bag.

The game will be made up Tuesday as part of a doubleheader beginning at 3:05 p.m.
