Former Eagles running back Reno Mahe is facing a criminal theft charge in Utah, police say.
Mahe and four others stole more than $15,000 in gasoline from a construction company.
The Deseret News reports the 31-year-old was booked into a Salt Lake County jail on Thursday and released pending another hearing.
Mahe has said he thought it was OK to take the gas and not illegal.
