Work on the 160,000-square foot multi-purpose sports complex that will serve as the new home of the Delaware Blue Coats, the Philadelphia 76ers G league affiliate, will begin Wednesday afternoon with a groundbreaking ceremony.
The 76ers Fieldhouse is being built by Sixers' owner Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment in a partnership with The Buccini/Pollin Group of Wilmington, which will lead the development and construction of the facility.
The complex will sit on an 8.9-acre parcel of land off U.S. Route 13 and Garasches Lane in Wilmington.
