Ivan Provorov and Travis Konecny on Monday were officially anointed members of the Flyers, meaning the 19-year-olds can kiss goodbye the days of dominating teenagers at hockey.
It's now big-boy time. Provorov and Konecny, both of whom earned their keep this preseason, now will play key roles with the orange and black this season.
The one question about the kids was if they were able to withstand an NHL schedule against grown men beating them every night. As if they didn't already prove they could with their play in training camp and preseason, the answer with Provorov is now much clearer.
Along with fellow Russian defenseman Mikhail Sergachev, who made the Canadiens' roster, Provorov participated in an insane workout routine this summer to prepare for camp.

Mikhail Sergachev+Ivan Provorov were told by their teams they're starting in the NHL. You won't believe what they did this summer. INSANE pic.twitter.com/evQunWeEAo— Eric Engels (@EricEngels) October 10, 2016
