One of the Flyers' top prospects has won a big award.
Oskar Lindblom, 20, has been named the forward of the year in the Swedish Elite League.
This season, Lindblom (6-1, 192 pounds) scored 26 goals and had 61 points while playing for Brynäs IF.
The Flyers selected Lindblom in the fifth round (138th overall) in the 2014 draft, but he has yet to play in the NHL. That could very well come next season.
Lindblom is definitely coming to North America next year, his Swedish coach said last month, so he'll either be a Phantom or crack the Flyers' roster for 2017-18.
"Oskar, he's had a great year," Flyers GM Ron Hextall said in April (see story). "He's in a really good league. He's a good hockey player. He's come a long way since his draft year. The Swedish Elite League is a very good league and he's done a good job.

"I hope he's here in September fighting for a spot along with a number of other guys."
