The new-look Flyers are getting an early chance to measure themselves against the Metropolitan Division.
The team went 10-16-2 against divisional opponents last season. On Sunday night, it'll have a chance to improve to 3-0-0 against Metro foes in 2019-20.
Looking for their fourth straight win overall, the Flyers (5-3-1) visit the Islanders (7-3-0).

Alain Vigneault and company preached that the goals would come because the team was playing its system. So far, it has proven its point.
In the early going, the Flyers definitely look like a different team. The additions of Kevin Hayes, Matt Niskanen and Justin Braun have helped, but the emphasis on creating puck battles in the offensive zone and making the opposition's defensemen turn has been noticeable.
• Hayes, Jakub Voracek and James van Riemsdyk combined for nine points (four goals, five assists) in Saturday night's 7-4 win over the Blue Jackets.
The trio had a total of four points (three goals, one assist) in the Flyers' first six games.
Those three are warming and it's scary when they're producing on the same night.
• Defenseman Samuel Morin, the team's 2013 first-round pick, will make his season debut in place of Robert Hagg. After Saturday night's game, the move felt likely (see story).
The Flyers will also see a new forward in the lineup (see story).
• The Flyers haven't won four straight games in the first two months of a season since 2010-11.
• A note on Sean Couturier and the Flyers' improved depth:
Sean Couturier was a minus-4 Saturday.
Prior to that, he had been a minus-4 or worse only twice in his career. The #Flyers lost both games by a combined score of 11-5.
They won, 7-4, Saturday. That really speaks to this team's improved depth.— Jordan Hall (@JHallNBCS) October 27, 2019
