Report: Tackle Will Beatty, Eagles Have Been in Contact

The Eagles may be mulling their options in the wake of tackle Lane Johnson's possible 10-game suspension.

They've reached out to veteran tackle Will Beatty, according to Tom Rock of Newsday.

Beatty, a seven-year veteran, has spent his entire NFL career with the Giants. He missed all of 2015 after suffering a torn pectoral during a lifting session. Prior to that, the 31-year-old started 47 of a possible 48 games at left tackle for New York. He's started 63 games in his pro career.

He also reportedly worked out for the Jaguars on Friday and was offered a contract by Jacksonville. There's no workout scheduled with the Eagles as of yet.

Beatty was drafted by the Giants in the second round (60th overall) in 2009 out of William Penn and was part of their Super Bowl-winning season in 2012.
