Eagles safety and defensive leader Malcolm Jenkins has a message for Michael Bennett. He also has a question.
"Now we can finally figure out the greatest mystery in football and that's where you get them super small shoulder pads from," Jenkins said in a message to Bennett via Uninterrupted.
For years, NFL players have joked about Bennett's shoulder pads, which are pretty much nonexistent. The picture above is an example.
Bennett wears the ultra-thin shoulder pads - made for a kicker - because he feels they add flexibility and speed to his pass rush.
"I just like the smaller ones because it makes sure I use my hands and makes it so I can stretch my arms out all the way," Bennett told SB Nation last season. "It helps pass rushers, but I don't think it really matters too much because I know how to use my hands. It makes me make sure I use my hands and not throw my shoulder in there."
Attire aside, Jenkins is happy to have another Pro Bowler with a championship pedigree on the Eagles' defense.

"For real, we can't wait to have you bro, three-time Pro Bowler, Super Bowl champion and you love your community," Jenkins said. "So you'll fit right in with this team, fit right in with this city. Can't wait 'til you get here."
