Halapoulivaati Vaitai's 1st NFL Games One of Worst Performances of Week 6 on PFF

Halapoulivaati Vaitai's first NFL game didn't go well. At all.

Filling in for the suspended Lane Johnson, the rookie fifth-round pick from TCU was beaten early and often in the Eagles' 27-20 loss to Washington on Sunday.

You don't need proof that Vaitai was bad Sunday, but here is some more. He ranked as one of the 10 worst performances on ProFootballFocus' list from Week 6.

According to PFF, Vaitai surrendered five quarterback pressures Sunday on 29 passing plays. That's the same number of pressures Johnson had allowed in the first four games of the season.

Vaitai gave up two sacks against Washington, while Johnson had given up just one in the first four games.

Despite the poor performance, Doug Pederson and the Eagles are sticking with Vaitai this week against the Vikings. Pederson on Monday said Vaitai gives the Eagles the best chance to win.
