The Eagles' two biggest questions heading into the week were answered on Monday.
Fletcher Cox and Darren Sproles both reported to the Eagles' NovaCare Complex on Monday afternoon for physicals in advance of this week's mandatory minicamp, which kicks off Tuesday.
Cox and Sproles had both stayed away from the team throughout the voluntary portion of the offseason. Just after 1 p.m. on Monday, head coach Doug Pederson said he hadn't yet seen Cox, but received word on Sunday that the Pro Bowl defensive lineman would be showing.
"Like I said last week, I expected both of them to be here," Pederson said.
Had Cox or Sproles not shown up this week, the team could have fined them $76,580 for missing the three-day camp.
Sproles told the Philadelphia Inquirer he missed the voluntary portion because of "family stuff."
Meanwhile, it's pretty clear why Cox has stayed away. He's on the fifth-year option year of his rookie deal that will pay him $7.799 million for 2016, but is in line for a big payday. His showing up is somewhat risky because he could get hurt before getting paid, but it's a sign of good faith that he's in town. Now, we'll have to see if a deal gets done before training camp and if he'll show up if it doesn't.

The Eagles announced that all 87 eligible players on their 90-man roster reported for minicamp on Monday. Three rookies β Isaac Seumalo, Byron Marshall and Aziz Shittu β aren't able to participate because of the NCAA graduation rule.
The team has the three-day minicamp this week before a long layoff leading up to training camp. Rookies, quarterbacks and select veterans will report to training camp on Monday, July 25. The rest of the veterans must report by July 27 before the first team practice on July 28.
